Step 1:     Style of Adk Classic Frame and Construction Technique Used

All corners and edges on the Adk Classic Frame are rounded

to provide a smooth and neat presentation.

Back is also finely sanded and grooved to create space for glass, mat board, picture, and foam board backing.  All elements are acid free.

Pieces are glued, braced, and set to dry overnight to assure a thorough bonding.  A finishing nail is driven below the surface at each corner for reinforcement (surface is refilled afterward)..

.
Step 2:  Contents To Be Inserted Into Frame

Foamboard backing (above) and mat board (below) are used to provide the securement layers for the photograph.

The photo is secured to the mat board and is held between the mat board and foam board to provide a firm and flat look for the photo.  Single strength glass (below) is used to place on the very front of all of the contents.

The foam board, photo, mat board, and glass all fit within the insert space on the back of the frame.

Step 3:  Securing Contents Into Frame

Metal points (one above) are driven into the frame behind the foam board backing to provide a secure hold on all of the contents in the frame.  The foamboard, photo, mat board, and glass are all held in place flat and securely.

A point driver is used to drive the points.  They are driven into numerous places behind the foam board backing to ensure a firm hold on the contents.  A claw hanging device or small D rings with twisted wire (neither pictured) are used to hang the picture, depending upon customer preference or size of picture being hung.

Though these pieces shown are not finished with a stain, paint or polyurethane yet, they are similar to what a finished product would look like.
